AJ Foundation hosts 2020 Ride 4 Autism

An in-person bike ride is set for Sept. 12, with a new Virtual Ride also available

The AJ Foundation is hosting its annual Ride 4 Autism on Saturday, Sept. 12, at Lower Makefield Township Park, 1100 Edgewood Road, Yardley.

A 50K Ride starts at 9 a.m., and a 12-mile Family Ride starts at 9:45 a.m. Registration for the events is at 8 a.m. and 9:15 a.m., respectively. A total of 250 participants will be accepted while Bucks County remains in the “green” phase. Check-in will be conducted in a drive thru format.

New for 2020, virtual participation will be offered. Join virtually between Sept. 7-13 from any bike path of your choice. Online registration for the Virtual Ride ends on Sept. 9, at 5 p.m.

Proceeds from this event support The AJ Foundation For Children With Autism and The Comprehensive Learning Center, a private school for children with autism opened by AJF in September 2000. Tax-deductible contributions are vital in ensuring that the students receive the proper education and treatment services, thus providing them with the tools necessary to be productive and contributing members in the community and home settings.

The goal this year is to raise $105,000.

For more information, visit ajfride4autism.org or call 215-598-8175. Updates regarding changes or cancelations will be announced. If canceled, the event will go completely virtual. If virtual participation is not preferred, registrants can reach out for a refund.
