The Centennial Education Association and district staff recently held a food drive to provide support for families who are struggling with unemployment and other obstacles during the COVID-19 crisis.
CEA wishes to recognize the efforts of the board of school directors, the Centennial Education Foundation, Cowey Shop-Rite, and multiple other community partners in supporting the drive and providing for students and families.Â
CSD-CEA Helping Hand Day will be Monday, June 1, from 2:30 to 4 p.m., at William Tennent High School, 333 Centennial Road, Warminster. Boxes/bags of nonperishable food will be distributed.
This event is free for all Centennial families who may need a little assistance at this time. In many cases, community members who have frequently been generous to others may now find themselves relying on the generosity of the community.
When you arrive at the high school, enter the William Tennent High School bus loop, and pop your trunk before pulling up to the table. Do not exit your car. Volunteers will load the groceries into your trunk. This will allow volunteers to observe appropriate social distancing while providing items for families.
