Thomas to host collection day for long-term care facilities

Gloves, activity items, letters and homemade cards will be accepted on May 14 at Thomas’ Richboro office

Rep. Wendi Thomas (R-Bucks) will hold a non-contact collection event to help long-term care facilities on Thursday, May 14, from 2 to 4 p.m., in the parking lot of Thomas’ Richboro office at 1038 Second Street Pike.

“As we continue to address issues resulting from the coronavirus, we see the devastation at our long-term care facilities in our district,” Thomas said. “To support the most vulnerable, we have reached out to these facilities to assist them in this crisis. Right now, they need a number of items to keep their residents and staff safe.”

The items deemed most helpful and that Thomas will be collecting include:

– Gloves of all sizes, masks, gowns, shields, hand sanitizer and infrared thermometers
– Activity items, games and coloring books
– Letters and homemade cards to residents and health care staff from adults or children

“Just pull up and we will remove items from your car,” Thomas said.
