Bensalem Police launch online reporting system

The new system is for non-emergency reports

The Bensalem Township Police Department is working to practice social distancing and follow the CDC guidelines during this trying time. The need to protect the public and officers has become paramount during the COVID-19 pandemic.

A change the department has made is a new online reporting system for non-emergency reports. If you have an emergency or see a crime in progress, dial 9-1-1. The online reporting system will not be monitored 24/7.

Crimes that should be reported using the online feature:

– Thefts (less than $2,000)
– Vandalism (less than $2,000)
– Harassment via communications
– Lost property
– Abandoned autos
– Parking complaints
– Animal complaints (barking dogs, lost pets, etc.)
– Child custody reports

Once the online submission has been received by the Records Division, an incident number will be assigned and that information will be provided with you at a later time.

By utilizing online reporting, you can:

– Report a minor incident to the Bensalem Township Police
– Maintain social distance and help mitigate the spread of COVID-19/coronavirus
– Receive an automated email receipt and reference number; this reference number will later be updated to an incident number
– Be contacted by a police employee regarding your submission if requested

If you are reporting an emergency or a crime in progress, do not use this online webform and dial 9-1-1 immediately.
