Middletown offers Remote Rec program

Enjoy yoga and zumba from home

The coronavirus pandemic has made it difficult for everyone to stay in their routine and attend their favorite exercise programs due to social distancing. As part of the Middletown Remote Rec program, Middletown Township Parks & Recreation is now offering online exercise programs free of charge to anyone who would like to participate.

The schedule includes: Beginning Yoga with Carol Garner on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 6 to 7 p.m.; and Zumba with Carolyn Mann on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 7:15 to 8:15 p.m.

GoToMeeting is used for these classes. To enter either class, visit gotomeet.me/MiddletownParksRecreation a few minutes before class is set to start.

You do not need a webcam or microphone to enter the class, just a computer to view the class from with speakers to hear class instructions. If you do have a webcam and microphone, please turn the camera off and mute your microphone, if they are not already muted by the instructor.

GoToMeeting will ask you to download an app or a plug in for your web browser. Follow the instructions when it prompts you to complete this process after clicking the link.

Since this is the first week of online offerings, feedback is welcome at pgraham@middletownbucks.org.
