Trevose Horticultural Society announces next meeting

‘Organic and Wild Harvested Essential Oils’ is set for April 21 in Bensalem

“Organic and Wild Harvested Essential Oils” is the featured program at the Trevose Horticultural Society’s monthly meeting on Tuesday, April 21, at 7 p.m., at the Bensalem Senior Center, 1850 Byberry Road, Bensalem.

Aromatherapy is an alternative to using pharmaceuticals. Guest speaker Carol Stella will show how plants, trees, flowers, herbs and weeds are necessary to our planet and how to achieve wellness through the world of nature.

Stella will demonstrate how she blends oils and distilled water to produce her aromatherapy products, such as soaps, scrubs, bath salts and healing balms. Information about the distillation and infusion process will be explained as Stella stresses the importance of safety when blending essential oils.

A certified teacher of aromatherapy, Stella is certified in essential oil safety for adults and children, and is also a reflexologist. She is associated with Doylestown and Horsham Farm Markets, Primex Garden Center in Glenside, Winter Farm and Craft Markets.

All meetings are open to the public. A donation of $5 is requested from non-members. For further information, contact 856-866-9163, visit trevosegardeners.org or follow the group on Facebook.
