Crafters and makers in Bucks County are invited to visit Cut Corner Studio, a premiere crafting space for adults, now open at the Bensalem and Quakertown Branches of the Bucks County Free Library.
Studio equipment includes a 3D printer, vinyl cutter, embroidery machine, Cricut Maker, form box, heat press, and button makers. All equipment is free to use. BCFL will have some equipment supplies available for a minimal fee to help users get started on projects. For some equipment, users can bring their own supplies.
Users are encouraged to unleash their creativity and make freely in this community workspace, whether they’re novices or professionals, are crafting favors for a party, customizing a gift, or prototyping a new product for their business. Cut Corner Studio can handle it all.
To get started, users must be 18 years or older, have a library card in good standing, and will need to attend a safety training. After they complete this training, they’ll receive a Cut Corner Badge and can use the studio equipment. They’ll also need to complete basic training to use each piece of equipment. The Bensalem and Quakertown branches will hold monthly classes on equipment training and project tutorials.
Those under 18 years of age may use the studio as long as they are accompanied by an adult who holds a Cut Corner Badge.
Some equipment is available on a first-come, first-served basis; other equipment must be reserved.
