See what’s happening throughout March

Music and Motion with Ms. Nancy takes place Mondays, March 2-30, at 10:30 a.m. Ages birth and up are invited to sing, dance and move with Ms. Nancy, a professional music teacher experienced in parent-child music programs. This is a walk-in program until full.

Come Play Mah Jongg! on Mondays, March 2-30, at 1 p.m. Whether you are a seasoned player or beginner, come join. Beginners are welcome to play or observe. Bring Mah Jongg set and cards if you have them.

Family Storytime takes place Tuesday, March 3-31, and Fridays, March 6-27, at 10:30 a.m. Join to read books and sing songs. Play with toys after the storytime or create a craft. This storytime is best for children ages birth-5 years old.

Yarn Workers Group meets on Tuesdays, March 3-31, at 1 p.m. Enjoy some company while knitting, crocheting or working on any other yarn project. This is for experienced yarn workers and not an instructional group. Registration required for new members.

Genealogy Workshop takes place Wednesday, March 4, at 1 p.m. Susan Koelble, a professional genealogist, will lead a workshop on genealogical research and assist attendees with their own research. Workshop is held every first Wednesday of the month at 10:30 a.m. Register online or by phone.

Read to Lucy the Bulldog on Wednesday, March 4, at 4:30 p.m. Bring your favorite book or borrow one of the library’s and read to a new four-legged friend. These programs are all ages and walk-in.

Adult Coloring takes place Thursdays, March 5 and 19, at 1 p.m. Join on the first and third Thursdays of the month for coloring, tea, music and a homemade treat. This is a great opportunity for adults to socialize with old or new friends. Pencils, markers and gel pens are provided or you may bring your own. Register online.

Spring Gardening takes place Saturday, March 7, at 10:30 a.m. Join Master Gardener Stephanie Catrambone as she talks seed storage, planting, propagating, soil health and tips for starting a garden in spring. Register online or by phone. Please cancel your registration if you are unable to attend.

Snack Smart in 2020 takes place Saturday, March 7, at 2 p.m. Join in celebrating National Nutrition Month’s “Eat Right Bite by Bite.” Learn about snacks that will keep you satisfied, boost your energy, wipe out cravings and give you a peaceful night’s sleep. All attendees will receive a free ebook of 20-plus snack ideas and recipes, no cooking skills needed. This event is brought by registered dietician nutritionist Linda Brophy. Evening Book Club takes place Tuesday, March 10, at 6:45 p.m. This month’s selection is Not That I Could Tell by Jessica Strawser. Join for an entertaining discussion.

Family Storytime with Olivia the mini-doxie takes place Tuesday, March 10, at 10:30 a.m. Join to read books, sing songs and play with Olivia. Play with toys after the storytime or create a craft. This storytime is best for children ages birth-5 years old.

Tea with the BBC takes place Wednesday, March 11, at 2 p.m. Come watch episodes of Scott and Bailey while enjoying tea and scones. Join every second Wednesday of the month for tea, treats and a BBC television mystery.

Adult Sensory Story Time takes place Thursday, March 12, at 10:30 a.m. Join for some stories and a fun craft on the second Thursday of the month. This program is for adults with varying abilities. Register online.

Artful Days takes place Saturday, March 14, at 10:30 a.m. Join for a one-day art workshop to learn about artists who began their careers as kids. This program is best for children who are 6 years and older. Children should be able to use scissors and a glue gun. Younger children are welcome, as long as their caregivers can help during the project. Register online.

St. Patrick’s Day Storytime takes place Tuesday, March 17, at 10:30 a.m. Join to read books and sing songs. Play with toys after the storytime or create a craft to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. This storytime is best for children ages birth-5 years old.

Sensory Friendly Movie Time takes place Wednesday, March 18, at 10:30 a.m. Enjoy a sensory friendly viewing of Ant Man and Wasp. Reservations with group size required. Register online or by phone.

Trivia at the Library takes place Wednesday, March 18, at 2 p.m. The popular trivia game program is back for a new year. Try your luck and match wits with friends and neighbors. Register online.

Story Tails Reading Program with the Women’s Animal Center takes place Thursday, March 19, at 6 p.m. Come help socialize a friendly, adoptable shelter animal by reading to them. While waiting for your turn to read, explore the library and make treats for the shelter animals. This is a walk-in program.
