Galloway to attend Bucks Crime Stoppers Tipster Rewards

The event gives rewards for tips submitted to the Bucks County Crime Stoppers Push Out the Pusher campaign, which encourages residents to take an active role in driving drug dealers out of their neighborhoods

State Rep. John Galloway, D-Bucks, will accompany District Attorney Matthew B. Weintraub to tonight’s event awarding rewards for tips submitted to the Bucks County Crime Stoppers Push Out the Pusher campaign at 5:30 p.m., at Central Bucks South High School, 1100 Folly Road, Warrington.

Established in 2017, the Push Out the Pusher campaign’s goal is to enable Bucks County inhabitants to take an active role in driving drug dealers out of their neighborhoods. Rewards of up to $5,000 are offered for tips that lead to the arrest and successful prosecution of drug dealers.

As Crime Stoppers’ president, Galloway has been a strong promoter of the Push Out the Pusher campaign.

“Push Out the Pusher empowers Bucks County residents to reclaim their streets from drug dealers, making their neighborhoods safe for everyone,” Galloway said. “I’m very pleased by the success of the Push Out the Pusher campaign to rid Bucks County of persons who are literally poisoning our neighborhoods with drugs.”

The tips rewarded tonight directly aided in drug dealers’ convictions, as well as the seizure of drugs.

A tipster from Quakertown exposed two neighbors in 2019 who had conspired to sell drugs, including THC and methamphetamine, out of their homes. The dealers were both sentenced to county prison.

Tips from Warminster helped police close a multi-million-dollar heroin and fentanyl distribution facility operating out of a home in Doylestown. The investigation led to 11 arrests. The defendants in that case have been sentenced to state prison, including the ringleader, Dariel Vasquez, who will be deported after serving his five- to 10-year sentence.

Officials from the Quakertown Borough Police Department and Warminster Township Police Department will accept rewards this evening on behalf of two tipsters, both of whom wish to remain anonymous.
