The Newtown Athletic Club, located at 120 Pheasant Run, Newtown, is hosting an Open House for its summer program, Camp NAC, on Saturday, Feb. 8, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. During this fun-filled event, there will be a slime station, kinetic sand, fruit pizza making, a Disney inflatable, sand art, face painting and a variety of interactive games and activities. All ages are welcome to attend and experience a day in the life of Camp NAC.
This special event is a good opportunity for families in the community to stop by, meet the leadership team and learn about Camp NAC’s award-winning summer program.
“We are so excited to welcome both new and returning campers to our annual Open House,” said Brianne Feinour, Camp NAC Director. “We know that choosing a summer camp is a major decision for many families. Hosting this family-friendly community event gives parents and guardians the opportunity to meet our camp team and learn about all of the unique and innovative camps that we offer.”
During the Open House, parents and guardians can take advantage of Camp NAC’s early bird discount, which includes 10 percent off camp costs if you register for camp that day. If you’re interested in signing up for six or more weeks, you will qualify for the multi-week discount as well. If you have more than one child attending Camp NAC this summer, there is a multi-sibling discount. This means, if you enroll two or more campers, you could be eligible to receive up to 5-10 percent off camp.
Camp NAC offers summer camp for ages 3 to 15, with both half- and full-day options available. Pick and choose the weeks that work for you or sign up for the entire summer. Camp NAC offers a traditional variety camp, Camp NACster, in addition to specialty camps. A few full-day specialty camp themes this year include: Broadway Theater, Krazy K’NEX, Meditative Art, Jr. Chef, Slime Mania and more.
Popular half-day educational camps are also offered for children ages 3 to 5. In these camps, children will learn and grow in a structured environment with camp themes including Whales Tales, Lil Einstein, The World of Dr. Seuss, Disney Adventures, Imagination Workshop and more.
This summer, Camp NAC is offering 10 new camps, as well as a new program called Sports Academy, designed for athletes ages 9 to 15. If sports don’t interest your child, Camp NAC also offers a teen program for ages 12 to 15, where teens can choose to be in one of two programs – Teen Adventure or Leaders in Training. Camp NAC’s teen camp includes two field trips per week, all included in the cost.
