Scheduled for June 1-8, the 38th Bucks County Senior Games are stacking up to be the best year ever. The games, open to adults 50-plus, encourage countywide friendly competition and camaraderie.
The Area Agency on Aging is partnering with the Bucks County YMCA and Bucks County Community College, as well as many county volunteers to bring new events, including chess, party bridge and pickleball to the games.
There are games for everyone, including golf, billiards, bocce, bowling, darts, table tennis, pinochle, quoits, trivia and track and field.
New for 2020 will be a Senior Games Kick-Off event at Bucks County Community College, 275 Swamp Road, Newtown, on May 27, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Kick-Off will feature games, live demonstrations, Senior Games T-shirts, orienteering, a walk of wellness, box lunch and more.
