BHS students headed to DECA State Competition

The business club prepares emerging leaders in marketing, finance, hospitality and management

Forty-two Bensalem High School students participated in DECA’s district event on Dec. 9. Approximately 500 students from 10 different schools competed. DECA is a business club that prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality and management in high schools and colleges around the globe.

The following BHS students qualified to attend the Pennsylvania DECA State Competition in Hershey in February:

Dan Clement – 6th place in Apparel and Accessories Marketing
Jinal Sindhavd – 7th Place in Apparel and Accessories Marketing
Mueed Gondal – 4th Place in Automotive Services Marketing
Dhruv Patel (Officer: Treasurer) – 4th Place in Hotel and Lodging Management
Karina Kohli (Officer: President) – 3rd Place in Human Resources Management (Additional award for Female Role Model)
Bradley Rosenberg – 3rd Place in Principles of Hospitality and Tourism
Johnny Tran – 7th Place in Principles of Finance
Averi McCoy – 4th Place in Principles of Marketing
Arjun Patel – 6th Place in Retail Merchandising Series
Zain Akhtar – 5th Place in Sports and Entertainment Marketing
