Bucks partners with Infinity Flight Group to offer Pilot Ground Training

Info session on Jan. 15 will explain the 10-week noncredit course starting Feb. 1 that prepares you to take the FAA’s written exam to become a private pilot

Bucks County Community College has partnered with Infinity Flight Group to offer private pilot ground school training starting Feb. 1 at Newtown.

A free information session about the course takes place on Wednesday, Jan. 15, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Newtown. Instructor Keith Moran will be available to discuss careers that require a pilot’s license and to answer questions about the course.

The course, which meets once a week for 10 weeks, provides the necessary knowledge to take the FAA’s written exam to become a private pilot. Aircraft systems, aerodynamics, flight instruments, navigation, weather, flight planning, regulations and airspace will be covered. Students must be 15 years old prior to the start of the class. The course meets from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturdays from Feb. 1 to April 4. Tuition is $500.
