St. Mary Physicians Group receives 2019 Press Ganey Guardian of Excellence Award

The healthcare organization was recognized for achieving and sustaining excellence in patient experience

St. Mary Physicians Group has been named a 2019 Guardian of Excellence Award winner by Press Ganey and was recognized for achieving and sustaining excellence in patient experience. The Guardian of Excellence Award recognizes top-performing healthcare organizations that have achieved the 95th percentile or above of performance in patient experience.

The Press Ganey Guardian of Excellence Award is a nationally recognized symbol of achievement in healthcare. Presented annually, the award honors clients who consistently sustained performance in the top five percent of all Press Ganey clients for each reporting period during the course of one year.

“At St. Mary, our goal is to provide our community access to skilled and compassionate healthcare providers in environments conducive to healing,” said Bruce Coletta, director of operations and patient experience for Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic Medical Group. “To be recognized for our efforts in creating positive patient experiences is a testament to both the quality of our programs and the commitment of our colleagues.”

St. Mary Physicians Group is a wholly owned subsidiary of St. Mary Medical Center, a member of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic. It is an employed physician practice network, which includes a number of primary care physicians and a range of specialists to meet the healthcare needs of the community. St. Mary continuously works to understand and improve the delivery of care and as such, maintains a host of convenient, accessible healthcare facility locations to meet community members where they are.
