Bucks hosts registration for spring semester classes starting soon

Academic advisers and support staff are on hand to help students choose courses that start Jan. 22

Bucks County Community College offers several opportunities for interested students to register for the spring semester.

Students may register through Tuesday, Jan. 21 in time for the start of classes on Wednesday, Jan. 22. Current students can complete the registration process online at bucks.edu/spring.

Prospective students may apply online or in person, and then drop in for placement testing, academic advising and registration at the following times and locations:

Upper Bucks Campus, One Hillendale Road, Perkasie, on Tuesday, Jan. 7, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Tuesday, Jan. 14, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Friday, Jan. 17, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.; and Tuesday, Jan. 21, from 4 to 8 p.m.
Newtown Campus, Linksz Pavilion, 275 Swamp Road, Newtown, on Tuesday, Jan. 8, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Monday, Jan. 13, from noon to 8 p.m.; Wednesday, Jan. 15, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Friday, Jan. 17, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. (senior citizen discount registration begins); and Tuesday, Jan. 21, from 4 to 8 p.m.
Epstein Campus at Lower Bucks, 1304 Veterans Highway, Bristol, on Thursday, Jan. 9, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Thursday, Jan. 16, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Friday, Jan. 17, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.; and Tuesday, Jan. 21, from 4 to 8 p.m.

More than 440 courses are available this spring, with the main 15-week semester starting Wednesday, Jan. 22, and additional courses starting Feb. 10 and March 23. Classes meet at the original campus in Newtown, the Gene and Marlene Epstein Campus at Lower Bucks in Bristol, and the Upper Bucks Campus in Perkasie. In addition, nearly half of the courses are offered through Bucks Online, the college’s award-winning virtual campus.

Bucks, an open-admission, public college that does not require SAT or ACT scores, offers more than 80 programs of study. Tuition is $165 a credit for Bucks County residents, and most credits transfer to four-year colleges and universities. Many students are able to reduce debt by earning a two-year associate degree at Bucks, then transferring to a four-year institution to complete a bachelor’s degree.

Registration deadlines are Jan. 21 for courses starting Jan. 22, Feb. 9 for courses starting Feb. 10, and March 22 for courses starting March 23. Payment is due at registration, and payment plans are available. To learn more, visit bucks.edu/spring or call Student Services at 215-968-8100.
