Sensory Friendly Movie Time: Southampton Free Library, at 947 Street Road, Southampton, will host this event at 10:30 a.m. Enjoy a sensory-friendly viewing of Aladdin. Story Tails Reading Program: Southampton Free Library, at 947 Street Road, Southampton, will host this free event at at 6 p.m. Help socialize a friendly, adoptable shelter animal by reading to them. Winter Solstice Night Hike & Campfire: This event will take place at Silver Lake Nature Center, 1306 Bath Road in Bristol, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Enjoy a special night on the Silver Lake Trails after dark, followed by a campfire and marshmallows, as well as a visit to the SLNC Earthship. Breakfast with Santa: Shady Brook Farm, 931 Stony Hill Road in Yardley, will host this event from 9 to 11 a.m. Enjoy a homemade breakfast and get a photo with Santa. Menu includes omelets, French toast, bacon, sausage, potatoes, bagels, toast, English muffins, fresh fruit, juice, milk coffee and hot chocolate. Cost is $24.95 for adults, $19.95 for children and includes a free 5 x 7 photo with Santa for each paid child. Children 23 months and under are free, but do not receive a photo (can be purchased separately). Space is limited, and advance tickets are required. Cat Adoption: Come meet the furry love of your life at the Cat Tales Adoption Center, at the Warrington Pavilion Shopping Center, 1111 Easton Road, Suite 17 (next door to Animal Lifeline Thrift Store), in Warrington. Handel’s Messiah Sing-Along: The Bucks County Gilbert & Sullivan Society and the community will join voices for the seventh annual “Handel’s Messiah Sing-Along” at 7:30 p.m. at our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 5194 Cold Spring Creamery Road, Doylestown. The Sing-Along will be accompanied by full orchestra, and the audience may sing along with the choruses. Magic: the Gathering: Comic Archive, 319 W. Main St. in Lansdale, hosts this event at 2 p.m. This classic family-friendly card game enhances strategic thinking and skills while teaching good sportsmanship. Admission is free. Code Club: The Margaret R. Grundy Memorial Library, 680 Radcliffe St. in Bristol, is hosting Code Club, a STEM educational series for children in grades 2 through 8. The club will meet from 5:30 to 7 p.m. weekly. Students in grades 2-4 will meet on Mondays, and grades 5-8 will meet on Tuesdays. Using Prenda software, children will learn how to code in Blocky, JavaScript, HTML/CSS and Python and to build websites, video games, apps and more. Registration is required. Participants are invited to bring their own laptop or Chromebook to each session. A limited number of library Chromebooks will be available to use.
