State Rep. John Galloway, D-Bucks, recently announced that Blue Ridge Wood Products LLC has received $249,420 to rehabilitate 700 feet of existing track to improve the efficiency of its inbound railcar unloading operations.

“These funds will increase mobility options, as well as improve freight travel efficiency,” Galloway said. “A strong rail system means increased economic development in Bucks County.”

This grant was one of 26 rail freight improvement projects that will enhance freight mobility while creating or sustaining jobs across Pennsylvania.

Pennsylvania has 65 operating railroads, which is more than any other state in the country.
