Healthcare Marketplace Help: To help individuals find healthcare insurance, certified ACA application counselors from Lower Bucks Hospital will be available to assist persons one-on-one and answer individual healthcare coverage questions at the Margaret R. Grundy Memorial Library, 680 Radcliffe St., Bristol, from 1 to 4 p.m. Assistance in Spanish is available. No appointment is necessary, and this service is free. For information, call 215-788-7891.

DECEMBER 12

Holiday Maker’s Market: Bucks County Community College will host this event from 3 to 8 p.m., on the Newtown Campus, 275 Swamp Road, Newtown. There will be a plethora of vendors, and complimentary hot chocolate will be served. The Zlock Performing Arts Center will be hosting its Cultural Streaming Series, featuring a recorded performance of The Nutcracker. The 2.5-hour video will be shown at 12:15 p.m. and 7 p.m. The theater is equipped with audio-loop technology for the hearing impaired. Holiday Open House: Middletown Township invites the public to its annual holiday open house at the Municipal Center, 3 Municipal Way, Langhorne. Indoor activities run from 6 to 8 p.m. and include pictures with Santa, face painting, arts and crafts, balloon sculptures and refreshments. There will also be a beer garden in the parking lot from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. All proceeds from the beer garden go to the Middletown Community Foundation. Other outdoor features include a food truck, horse-drawn carriage rides, an inflatable slide and an inflatable snowboard activity. Attendees are asked to bring one non-perishable food item to be donated to the Lower Bucks County Food Pantry. All attendees should park at The Shoppes of Flowers Mill and walk to the Municipal Center.

Yes and…Improv for Adults: Bucks County Playhouse will host this education program at Lambertville Hall, 57 Bridge St., Lambertville, New Jersey from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. This class offers two hours of collaborative active games, improv techniques and opportunities to nurture creativity. “Setting Up, Obtaining and Managing Social Media Reviews” Workshop: The workshop will be held at the Lower Bucks County Chamber of Commerce, 409 Hood Blvd., Fairless Hills, from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Doors open at 8:30 a.m. Cost is $15 and includes breakfast. Annual Audubon Christmas Bird Count: This event will take place from 6:45 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Join Robert Mercer and a team of birders for this fun, free event. All levels of experience (including no experience) are welcome to participate in this important citizen science national bird census. Come out for the whole day or part(s) of the day. Cat Adoption: Come meet the furry love of your life at the Cat Tales Adoption Center, at the Warrington Pavilion Shopping Center, 1111 Easton Road, Suite 17 (next door to Animal Lifeline Thrift Store), in Warrington. Danny DeGennaro Foundation’s Holiday Celebration: This event will be held from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. at Hurricane Jack’s, 7759 New Falls Road, Levittown. Admission is free. Magic: the Gathering: Comic Archive, 319 W. Code Club: The Margaret R. Grundy Memorial Library, 680 Radcliffe St. in Bristol, is hosting Code Club, a STEM educational series for children in grades 2 through 8. The club will meet from 5:30 to 7 p.m. weekly. Students in grades 2-4 will meet on Mondays, and grades 5-8 will meet on Tuesdays. Using Prenda software, children will learn how to code in Blocky, JavaScript, HTML/CSS and Python and to build websites, video games, apps and more. Registration is required. Participants are invited to bring their own laptop or Chromebook to each session. A limited number of library Chromebooks will be available to use.
