Bucks hosts first-ever Holiday Maker’s Market

Find a unique gift on Dec. 12 at the Newtown Campus, stay for a free presentation of ‘The Nutcracker’

Bucks County Community College invites the public to its first-ever Holiday Maker’s Market on Thursday, Dec. 12, from 3 to 8 p.m., on the Newtown Campus.

Browse for that one-of-a-kind gift from among eight vendors in the Gateway Center atrium. Complimentary hot chocolate will be served. Handmade wares will be available from the following participants: Bennett Body Care, BL3SSED Cosmetics, Catherine Pope Pottery, Dossick’s Sweets, Dreamy Steamies, Farmer’s Daughter Candle Co., McBride Woodworks, and Salvatore J. LoSapio Fine Woodworking.

In addition, the Zlock Performing Arts Center will be hosting its Cultural Streaming Series, featuring a recorded performance of The Nutcracker. The New York City Ballet production, featuring Megan Fairchild, Joaquin De Luz and Adam Hendrickson, was recorded in 2010. The 2.5-hour video will be shown at 12:15 p.m. and 7 p.m. The theater is equipped with audio-loop technology for the hearing impaired. Admission is free, but registration for tickets is recommended at bucks.edu/tickets.
