Cairn University running club to hold 2019 Virtual Challenge

From Dec. 1-7, runners are invited to participate in a 5K or 12.1K to support Cairn athletics

Beginning the week of Dec. 1, Cairn University’s community running club, Run 12:1, will hold the 2019 Virtual Challenge. From Dec. 1-7, runners are invited to participate in a 5K or 12.1K to support Cairn athletics. Participants can run or walk at any pace (over any number of days) from anywhere in the world.

General participants can enter the challenge for $20, and Cairn faculty, staff, students, or all those under 21 can enter for $12.01. All participants will receive a Run 12:1 T-shirt and can submit their time and race photos for the chance to win Chick-fil-A gift cards.

Participants of the Virtual Challenge are invited to join the Run 12:1 running club for a 5K Fun Run on Thursday, Dec. 5 at 5:30 p.m. Runners meet in the lower lobby of the Mason Activity Center at Cairn University, 200 Manor Ave., Langhorne.

Run 12:1 is a free community running club in the Lower Bucks County area. Runners of all fitness levels who strive to improve their physical and spiritual health gather weekly for runs, devotions and fellowship with one another. The group meets to run together every Thursday at 5:30 p.m. in locations throughout Lower Bucks. On the second Saturday of every month, the club also meets to run and attend a free workshop on how to improve running technique.
