HealthLink Dental appoints new members to board

Michael J. Motte and Jo Ann Allen Nyquist have joined the team

HealthLink Dental Clinic announced the election of two new members to its board of directors – Michael J. Motte and Jo Ann Allen Nyquist.

“I am pleased to welcome these two newest members to the board of directors of our free dental clinic,” said Raquel Braemer, executive director of HealthLink. “They both have backgrounds and experiences that will make them assets to the board and to the organization as a whole.”

Motte

Motte joins the board with decades of healthcare management experience. Previously the CEO of St. Alexius Hospital in St. Louis, Motte moved to the area in June and now oversees Lower Bucks Hospital in Bristol. Over the span of his career, he has served on multiple boards and committees, including the Hands-on Children’s Museum, West Olympia Business Association, Missouri Hospital Association, Washington State Hospital Association, United Way and more. Motte received his bachelor of science degree from the University of Southern California and his master of business administration from Pepperdine University in Malibu, California.

Nyquist

Nyquist is the associate dean of student affairs and director of the post baccalaureate degree program at Temple University’s Maurice H. Kornberg School of Dentistry. She has spent her career in private practice and dental education at both the university and community college levels as an educator, mentor, program administrator, dean and counselor. She earned her education specialist degree in administration from Oakland University, and her bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene and master’s degree in guidance and counseling from the University of Detroit Mercy.

These two individuals are joining the other members of HealthLink Dental Clinic’s 2019 board of directors: Bernie Dishler, DDS; Richard James; David Dotson; George Dempster, Esq.; Deborah Hedrick; Christine Kaiser; and E. Steven Moriconi, DMD.
