St. Mary Diabetes Management Center will hold an open house at its new location in Feasterville on Tuesday, Nov. 19, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. During the event, attendees will learn about the center’s educational, clinical and support services available to help improve the quality of life for those living with diabetes.
St. Mary Medical Center providers will educate the community on continuous glucose monitoring, diabetes risk and prevention, and medication updates, as well as provide foot screenings. The event will also include raffles, giveaways and light refreshments for attendees.
The Diabetes Management Center has been recognized by the American Diabetes Association for meeting the national standards for diabetes self-management education. The center offers its services to residents of Bucks and Montgomery Counties who have been referred by a physician for diabetes treatment.
“We aim to bring awareness not only to diabetes, but also the host of programs, services and treatments that our center can provide to those who may need them,” said Colleen McGhee, diabetes clinical coordinator for St. Mary Diabetes Management Center. “Our goal is to give our patients the tools they need to live healthy, productive and satisfying lives.”
