“Holiday Arrangements” is the Trevose Horticultural Society’s featured program on Tuesday, Nov. 19 at 7 p.m. at the Bensalem Senior Center, 1850 Byberry Road, Bensalem.
A horticultural therapist for 15 years, Brenda Sullivan maintains a certificate in floral design. She will demonstrate four different styles of arrangements for the holidays using interesting containers featuring greens, flowers, ornaments, seed heads and cones. Completed designs will be raffled at the program’s conclusion.
With a background in sales and marketing, Sullivan pursued a second career in horticulture and currently runs her own gardening business, designing, installing and maintaining landscapes; providing horticultural therapy for seniors and stroke/traumatic brain injury clients; and creating floral designs. She conducts educational horticulture programming at Temple University and speaks on a variety of topics for garden clubs and the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society.
All meetings are open to the public. A donation of $4 is requested from non-members. For more information, call 856-866-9163.
