St. Philip’s Episcopal Church will host “Cabaret for a Cause” on Sunday, Nov. 10 at 3 p.m. Join local theater artists Rachel Benoit, Kasey Ivan, Elio Edward Leo, Jenna Parilla and Mike Gilch for an afternoon of music theater. The performance will feature showtunes throughout the decades, including music by Cole Porter, Stephen Sondheim, Sara Bareilles and more.
The is a free event with free will donations being accepted. Proceeds will be donated to St. Philip’s and to Fishman’s Mark in Lambertville, New Jersey.
The church is an inclusive Christian community that is active in helping locals in need through Community Peacemeal, Amnesty International, Code Blue, various clothing and food drives and more. Fisherman’s Mark responds to the needs of seniors, individuals living with disabilities, the local immigrant population, low-income families, and the unemployed and underemployed. They assist with any crisis that presents homelessness, domestic violence, job-loss, insurance issues, financial or medical crisis, substance abuse and mental health issues.
