Pennsbury board adopts new agenda management technology

BoardDocs enables school district to save time and money while increasing effectiveness

The Pennsbury school board has approved a cloud-based technology called BoardDocs to improve its governance processes while saving staff time and taxpayer dollars.

The user-friendly service will allow the administration to maximize the public posting of full board meeting agendas with increased transparency, providing a basis for better and more open communication with the public. The system will also save the school district on printing costs.

“Electronic distribution will not only save time and resources, but it will also provide unprecedented public access via the Pennsbury website to agenda items and other board-related information,” said Christopher Berdnik, the district’s chief financial officer and board secretary.

The new process will also allow interested parties to review detailed information prior to meetings. All documents associated with the meeting are automatically archived and can be accessed by date or by using the system’s comprehensive search feature.

The BoardDocs agenda management features can be accessed via the Pennsbury website at pennsburysd.org. The direct link to Pennsbury’s BoardDocs page is go.boarddocs.com/pa/psbr/Board.nsf/Public
