Bucks County SPCA: More Than Cats and Dogs: Southampton Free Library, at 947 Street Road, Southampton, will host this event at 6:30 p.m. The local SPCA helps all kinds of animals who need rescu- ing and rehoming, from dogs and kittens to goats and other farm animals rescued from cruelty and neglect. Learn about the animals of the Bucks County SPCA and how you can help make the county a safe place for all furry friends. The library will be collecting cans of Friskies pate or Fancy Feast wet cat food. Bring to the event or drop off at the library prior. Senior Care and Transitions Panel: Southampton Free Library, at 947 Street Road, Southampton, will host this event at 2 p.m. A group of professionals from various health, wellness and age-related services such as home care, hospice and PACE services will discuss senior care. The discussion is one-hour long and includes an introduction of each expert, real life scenarios and questions, and an open Q&A session at the end. Registration required. Cat Adoption: Come meet the furry love of your life at the Cat Tales Adoption Center, at the Warrington Pavilion Shopping Center, 1111 Easton Road, Suite 17 (next door to Animal Lifeline Thrift Store), in Warrington. Magic: the Gathering: Comic Archive, 319 W. Main St. in Lansdale, hosts this event at 2 p.m. This classic family-friendly card game enhances strategic thinking and skills while teaching good sportsmanship. Admission is free. Paint a Portrait of Your Pet with A Taste of Artistry: Silver Lake Nature Center, at 1306 Bath Road, Bristol, will host this event from 2 to 4 p.m. This paint class offers the non-artist a personalized pre-traced canvas of their pet, two hours of instruction and art supplies. The instructor will show attendees how to paint their pets. Feel free to bring snacks and drinks (non-alcoholic). Code Club: The Margaret R. Grundy Memorial Library, 680 Radcliffe St. in Bristol, is hosting Code Club, a STEM educational series for children in grades 2 through 8. The club will meet from 5:30 to 7 p.m. weekly. Students in grades 2-4 will meet on Mondays, and grades 5-8 will meet on Tuesdays. Using Prenda software, children will learn how to code in Blocky, JavaScript, HTML/CSS and Python and to build websites, video games, apps and more. Registration is required. Participants are invited to bring their own laptop or Chromebook to each session. A limited number of library Chromebooks will be available to use. Healthcare Marketplace Help: Open enrollment for purchasing 2020 health insurance coverage through the Affordable Care Act marketplace is open now through Dec. 15. To help individuals find healthcare insurance, certified ACA Application Counselors from Lower Bucks Hospital will be available to assist and answer individual healthcare coverage questions at the Margaret R. Grundy Memorial Library, 680 Radcliffe St., Bristol. Dates include Mondays, Nov. 11, 18 and 25, and Dec. 2 and 9, from 1 to 7 p.m.; and Wednesday, Dec. 4, from 3 to 7 p.m. and Dec. 11, from 1 to 4 p.m. Assistance in Spanish is available Monday, Nov. 11 and 25, and Wednesday, Dec. 4 and 11.
