Garden Club: The Martha Washington Garden Club is offering the program “Spices, Pickles and Preserves,” which will provide a history of domestic gardening practices in the 18th century in Eastern Pennsylvania. There is a guest fee of $5. The meeting begins at 12:30 p.m., with the lecture following at 1 p.m. at the Lower Bucks Masonic Hall, 1600 Edgewood Road, Yardley.

Bristol Borough’s Mill Street will be lined with scarecrows created by businesses, civic organizations, schools and individual families. Halloween Designer Bag Bingo: Big Brothers Big Sisters of Bucks County is hosting a Halloween Designer Bag Bingo at St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church, 1545 Easton Road, Warrington. Attendees are encouraged to dress in Halloween costumes. There will be 50/50, raffle baskets and door prizes. Doors open at 6 p.m., with games beginning at 7 p.m. Cost is $25 per person, which includes admission, bingo cards and complimentary treats. For $175, reserve a table of eight. Magic: the Gathering: Comic Archive, 319 W. Main St. in Lansdale, hosts this event at 2 p.m. This classic family-friendly card game enhances strategic thinking and skills while teaching good sportsmanship. Admission is free. OUT in New Hope: High Heel Drag Race: This event will be held at 4:30 p.m. All participants are dressed in costumes and wearing 3-inch (or taller) high heels. Runners carry a pumpkin up the hill on West Mechanic Street, decorate the pumpkin, and race back down the hill. An after-party will be hosted by Havana, 105 S. Main St., at 6:30 p.m. There is an awards ceremony, live DJ, light bites and a cash bar. A $5 donation is suggested at the door. Winners of the race will be awarded at 7:30 p.m. Participants must register online. A $25 non-refundable registration fee is required in advance and is limited to the first 15 people. Code Club: The Margaret R. Grundy Memorial Library, 680 Radcliffe St. in Bristol, is hosting Code Club, a STEM educational series for children in grades 2 through 8. The club will meet from 5:30 to 7 p.m. weekly. Students in grades 2-4 will meet on Mondays, and grades 5-8 will meet on Tuesdays. Using Prenda software, children will learn how to code in Blocky, JavaScript, HTML/CSS and Python and to build websites, video games, apps and more. Registration is required.
