Grand opening of the Grundy Museum’s restored dining room

The renovations will be unveiled during Historic Bristol Day on Oct. 19

The Grundy Foundation recently announced the grand opening of the dining room in the Margaret R. Grundy Memorial Museum, 610 Radcliffe St., Bristol, on Historic Bristol Day, set for Saturday, Oct. 19.

During the open house, the public is invited to see the restored woodwork and furniture, as well as paint colors, lighting, custom draperies, a rug designed and constructed by the Langhorne Carpet Company, and Grundy family collections not exhibited for many years.

Free tours of the Grundy Museum on Historic Bristol Day are from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with no registration required. Following Historic Bristol Day, free docent-led tours are available Tuesday through Saturday at 1:15 p.m. or 2:30 p.m. Register at the adjacent Grundy Library, where tours begin. Tours of eight or more people require a reservation at least two weeks in advance. Call 215-788-9432 for reservations or questions pertaining to a visit.
