Bensalem’s annual “Fall Festival: Celebrate Community Pride” will take place on Saturday, Oct. 5. This “Best of Bucks” celebration – hosted by Mayor Joseph DiGirolamo, township council, Bensalem Community Affairs and Parks & Recreation – highlights all that is distinctive about the township, while also promoting friendship, goodwill and love of community.
The fun begins at 11 a.m., and the day is capped off with a free concert at 6 p.m. featuring The Urban Guerilla Orchestra, followed by a fireworks display immediately after.
New this year is the Selfie Scavenger Hunt. Between 11 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., kids 12 and under (accompanied by a parent) can participate by visiting 10 predetermined locations, taking a selfie, and uploading it to Facebook or Instagram with the hashtag #BTownFallFest2019. Everyone who completes the hunt will get a prize, while supplies last. One lucky grand prize winner will receive a “Year of Chick-fil-A,” which includes 52 free chicken sandwiches, thanks to Chick-fil-A Bensalem. Download a list of stops online or stop by the Information Tent at the festival, located at the bus drop off, to pick one up.
The festival also features the annual Car Show, sponsored by the Bensalem Business Directory. There will be classic cars, street rods, late model turners, motorcycles and more. Trifecta Sporting Club will provide coffee and donuts to all participants.
