The St. Mary Medical Center Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery Program has announced its next information session for people interested in learning more about surgical options and finding out if bariatric surgery is the right choice.
“The information sessions teach patients who struggle with severe obesity about bariatric surgery, a life-changing treatment, at St. Mary,” said Keith A. Kreitz, M.D., the program’s medical director and a board-certified surgeon. “While mandatory for all prospective bariatric patients, the session informs patients about the different procedures, who qualifies for surgery and the nutritional aspect.”
The information sessions often help people develop a better understanding of what life will be like before, during and after the transformative surgery.
The information session will take place on Wednesday, Oct. 2, from 6 to 7 p.m., in the Medical Staff Office Conference Room at St. Mary Medical Center, located at 1201 Langhorne-Newtown Road, Langhorne. The conference room is located on the first floor by the parking garage at the rear of the St. Mary campus.
The bariatric information session is free of charge, but registration is required as seating is limited.
