Wireless Zone helps answer local child’s dream

Briella, a 6-year-old with Down syndrome, will learn to swim thanks to the funds

Local Wireless Zone locations recently chose Sunshine Foundation, 101 Lakeside Park, Southampton, to donate $1,000 toward a local child’s dream.

On Tuesday, Sept. 3 at 11 a.m., Wireless Zone representatives presented a check to Sunshine Foundation president Kate Sample. The presentation took place at the Wireless Zone location at 110 E. Street Road, Feasterville. The funds will help answer the dream of Briella, of Willow Grove, age 6, diagnosed with Down syndrome. Briella loves to swim, sing and paint. She is a resilient and happy child who has overcome a severe heart condition and surgery.

Briella’s adoptive mom said she would love to attend Aqua Tots Swim School, where Briella can receive specialized individual swimming and water safety instruction.

Founded in 2003, the Wireless Zone Foundation for Giving annually raises significant funds and supports a large number of local charities and causes through its 300-plus retail locations nationwide.

The Sunshine Foundation answers dreams of chronically ill, physically challenged and abused children from income-limited families. Since 1976, the Sunshine Foundation has answered more than 40,000 dreams with the help of local organizations.
