‘Stained Glass: An Evening of Chamber Music of Philip Glass’ performance at Cairn

Dr. Paul Barnes is presenting “Stained Glass: An Evening of Chamber Music of Philip Glass” at Cairn University’s Chatlos Chapel, 200 Manor Ave., Langhorne, on Friday, Sept. 20 at 7:30 p.m.

The concert includes the Philadelphia premiere of Philip Glass’ piano quintet “Annunciation” with members of The Philadelphia Orchestra, and “Four Movements” with Dr. Benjamin Harding, dean of the School of Music.

Tickets can be purchased at cairn.edu/tickets. Cost is $10 per person.

Cairn Highlander Club Golf Outing at Spring Hollow

On Monday, Oct. 14, Cairn University will hold the inaugural Highlander Club Golf Outing at Spring Hollow Golf Club, 3350 Schuylkill Road, Spring City. Cairn invites all golfers and their families to participate in this fundraiser for Cairn Athletics. Registration begins at 11 a.m.

The day-long outing will include lunch and dinner, as well as prizes for various skill competitions, such as longest drive, and a putting contest.

Participants may register as a foursome, twosome, or an individual golfer. Lunch and dinner are included with registration, and additional guests may come to dinner for $40 per person. Sponsorships are available.
