Newtown-Yardley Creative Writers Workshop: This group meets every other Thursday from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at the Corner Bakery Cafe, 3 West Road, Newtown. Enjoy this opportunity to see the animals up close and ask questions about the scaly friends who live inside the Visitors’ Building. Code Club: The Margaret R. Grundy Memorial Library, 680 Radcliffe St. in Bristol, is hosting Code Club, a STEM educational series for children in grades 2 through 8. The club will meet from 5:30 to 7 p.m. weekly. Students in grades 2-4 will meet on Mondays, and grades 5-8 will meet on Tuesdays. Using Prenda software, children will learn how to code in Blocky, JavaScript, HTML/CSS and Python and to build websites, video games, apps and more. Registration is required. Grief Seminar: Twining Village will host a free, public educational seminar on “grieving the loss of a spouse” at 10 a.m. in Holland Hall at the senior living facility, 280 Middle Holland Road, Holland. Just for the Record: Langhorne Council for the Arts is hosting this event at 7:30 p.m. at the Anna Mary Williamson Library and Museum, 160 W. Maple Ave., Langhorne. Join Christopher Andrew Maier in a multimedia show as he channels Eldridge Reeves Johnson, the poor machinist from Camden, New Jersey, who perfected recorded sound on the gramophone. By naming his company Victor Talking Machine, a brand new 20th-century concept was born – home entertainment. Johnson became one of America’s wealthiest individuals by 1927 by selling his global enterprise to Radio Corporation of America, paving the way for RCA Victor.
