Women’s Animal Center, 3839 Richlieu Road, Bensalem, is teaming up with NBC10 and Telemundo62 to host the stations’ fifth annual Clear The Shelters pet adoption drive on Saturday, Aug. 17, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
On this day, WAC will offer waived pet adoption fees to help local families adopt a pet. Nationally, more than 250,000 pets have been adopted through the NBC/Telemundo stations’ Clear The Shelters campaign.
NBC10 and Telemundo62 have selected Women’s Animal Center, America’s First Animal Shelter, as the regional shelter from which they will be broadcasting live on the day of the Clear the Shelters event.
WAC invites all interested adopters out for this special day of lifesaving. Waived adoption fees include spay/neuter, vaccinations, microchip and discounted services in the organization’s veterinary hospital.
Refreshments will be available, as well as family arts activities. Visitors are encouraged to arrive early in anticipation of wait lines, and to streamline their adoption process by reviewing the shelter’s website, womensanimalcenter.org, in advance for tips on coming prepared.
