Bucks County Book Festival recently announced “One Book” – a community-wide reading initiative. Community reads are popular all over the country, and Bucks County Book Festival is thrilled to bring one to the area. During a community read, members of a community come together by reading and discussing a single book.
Each year, Bucks County book Festival will select one book and host a series of events and programs celebrating and discussing themes and topics in the book.
For 2019, the festival has chosen The Art of Racing in the Rain by Garth Stein – the best-selling story of Enzo, the dog with a nearly-human soul. It’s a heart-warming, funny and uplifting tale of family, love, loyalty and hope. Stein has also written companion books Racing in the Rain, a young reader’s version for ages 8-12, and Enzo Races in the Rain!, a picture book story for the youngest readers ages 4-8.
The festival has exciting events planned to discuss and complement “One Book,” including a panel discussion at the festival, a “One Book” special film showing at the County Theater and more. Visit bucksbookfest.org for more information.
