Enter the Geode Cave on Saturday, Aug. 4 and Sunday, Aug. 5, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. See what treasures you can find in this man-made replica of a cave, and search for your own geode rock. Crack it open and take home a treasure. Take part in a variety of activities including a gem sluice. Cost is $10.
Get Your Garden Growing takes place Saturday, Aug. 10 at 10 a.m. Join seasoned organic farmer Stephanie Catrambone for her second installation of this helpful class. Learn about planting, soil health, composting and fall-friendly vegetables. Cost is $4. Members are free. Registration is required.
Arthropalooza takes place Saturday, Aug. 10 and Sunday, Aug. 11, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. This weekend is full of insects, arthropods and everything with a backbone. There will be lots of tarantulas, a beekeeper, hissing cockroach races, a scavenger hunt, games, activities and insects on display. There will also be vendors, demonstrations and food. How would you like to eat a bug? Cost is $8 per person. Children 3 and under and members are free.
Nighttime Adaptations Campfire takes place Friday, Aug. 23 at 8 p.m. Learn how creatures of the night live in the dark. Venture out on the trails and then roast marshmallows by the campfire. Cost is $5 per person. Members are free. Pre-registration is required.
Lenape Village Program “Games” takes place Sunday, Aug. 25 at 2 p.m. Learn the games the Lenape played 500 years ago and the stories that went with the games. All ages are welcome. Make your own corn husk pop-it to take home. Cost is $8. Children under 3 and members are free. Pre-registration is required.
