The Bristol Cultural and Historical Foundation is holding its Annual Peach Social on Sunday, Aug. 11, from 2 to 4 p.m., in its air-conditioned headquarters at 321 Cedar St., Bristol.
Attendees will be treated to angel food cake topped with ice cream and fresh, sliced peaches, plus a cold beverage. Homemade baked goods, including peachy treats, will be on sale. Takeouts will be available with own container.
Tickets may be purchased at the door. Cost is $5 for ages 12 and over, $3 for under age 12. This event benefits BCHF’s annual awards to Bristol High School graduates.
The BCHF encourages the public to spend the entire day in Historic Bristol Borough, founded in 1681. Suggested activities include: strolling along tree-lined Radcliffe Street, known as the King’s Highway in colonial days; relaxing in Riverfront Park and watching the boating activity on the Delaware River; and enjoying the free concert at 6 p.m. in Riverfront Park, hosted by the Bristol Lions Club.
