The Northampton Days Committee awarded $250 each to two Council Rock South High School students at the June 13 Senior Recognition Night.
As a result of their excellent scholastic accomplishments, as well as their high level of LINCS hours and service to the community, the awards were presented to Carlyn Rice and Jared Beck for their outstanding record of volunteerism and giving back to the community, especially as volunteers for Northampton Day.
Along with the scholarship awards, the Northampton Days Committee each year donates money to various local charitable and nonprofit organizations from its proceeds of the annual Northampton Day event.
This year, Northampton Day will be held on Saturday, Sept. 28 at 98 Upper Holland Road, Richboro. Anyone interested in volunteering for the event or sitting on the committee can contact Steve Bryer at northamptondayfestival@gmail.com.
