Let freedom ring for every shelter pet. Women’s Animal Center, 3839 Richlieu Road, Bensalem, is marking our nation’s birthday with a special adoption event in celebration of life, liberty and the pursuit of forever homes for the animals under its care.
The event, set for Saturday, June 29, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., aims to free up space at the shelter by uniting more pets with their new families as the organization works to keep up with the increased intake of cats and dogs that traditionally occurs during the summer months.
The day features discounts on adoption fees, including $10 cats and $20 kittens, $50 dogs and 50 percent off small animals. All adoptions include spay/neuter, vaccinations, microchip and free services in the organization’s veterinary hospital.
Refreshments will be available, as well as arts activities for the kids. Visitors are encouraged to arrive early in anticipation of lines, and to streamline their adoption process by reviewing the shelter’s website for tips on coming prepared at womensanimalcenter.org/our-animal-shelter/adoption-process-fees
