Free Summer Fun Series: Buckingham Friends School, 5684 York Road in Lahaska, will host this weekly event from 9 to 11 a.m. This event is suitable for children ages 4-9. Parents are welcome to stay, but not required. Registration appreciated. Each week has a different theme: June 26 – Chickens and Life Cycles; July 10 – Recycled Art; July 24 – Fun with Creepy Crawlies; July 31 – Splish! Splash! White Nights: Russian Opera: Adult opera buffs will have an opportunity to view, analyze and discuss Russian operas when the KleinLife: Montgomery County Dr. Gabriel & Alma Elias Center, at 7763 Old York Road, Elkins Park, begins an eight-part Lifelong Learning series entitled White Nights: Russian Opera. The series will be led by Gerald Tremblay, an opera aficionado, professor and psychotherapist, on Thursdays from 10:30 to 11:45 a.m. The series costs $70 per person for members and $75 per person for the general public. Cat Adoption: Come meet the furry love of your life at the Cat Tales Adoption Center, at the Warrington Pavilion Shopping Center, 1111 Easton Road, Suite 17 (next door to Animal Lifeline Thrift Store), in Warrington. Magic: the Gathering: Comic Archive, 319 W. Main St., in Lansdale, hosts this event at 2 p.m. This classic family-friendly card game enhances strategic thinking and skills while teaching good sportsmanship. Admission is free. July 1

Andalusia Historic House Tours: Tour the Andalusia Mansion, 1237 State Road in Bensalem, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Mondays, except for major holidays. Enjoy a self-guided tour of Andalusia Mansion, a national historic landmark and home of Nicholas Biddle. See original furnishings, art and decorative arts and learn about the history of Andalusia. Code Club: The Margaret R. Grundy Memorial Library, 680 Radcliffe St. in Bristol, is hosting Code Club, a STEM education series for children in grades 2 through 8. The club will meet from 5:30 to 7 p.m. weekly. Students in grades 2-4 will meet on Mondays, and grades 5-8 will meet on Tuesdays. Using Prenda software, children will learn how to code in Blocky, JavaScript, HTML/CSS and Python and to build websites, video games, apps and more. Registration is required. Participants are invited to bring their own laptop or Chromebook to each session. A limited number of library Chromebooks will be available to use. Summer Speaker Series: Langhorne Council for the Arts will host this event at 7:30 p.m. at the Anna Mary Williamson Library and Museum, 160 W. Maple Ave., Langhorne. A $5 donation is requested to support the LCA Student Scholarship Fund. The Coolest Guy Movie Ever will be discussed. Joe Amodei will screen his documentary about the making of The Great Escape and discuss why this is still one of the most popular adventure films, more than 50 years later. He will also discuss the actual POW escape on which the film is based and share artifacts he has collected about the heroic breakout of Stalag Luft 3. For information, visit langhornearts.org 

Toddler Time Program: This event will be held at Barn Nature Center, 1283 Almshouse Road in Doylestown, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Toddler Time programs are a parent and child experience that includes crafts, songs, music, books, activities and animals to help develop your child’s sense of adventure and imagination as well as appreciation for the world around them. Joe Conklin’s Comedy Night: This event will be held at Parx Casino, 2999 Street Road in Bensalem, from 8 to 10 p.m. This weekly show features “the man of a thousand voices” Joe Conklin and three comedians every Wednesday.
