Northampton celebrates Flag Day

Local scout troops, elected officials and more were in attendance

Northampton Township held its annual Flag Day ceremony on June 14.

Master of ceremony was Tim O’Donnell, and welcome remarks were by Northampton supervisor Frank O’Donnell.

Boy Scout Troops 145, 147 and 260 provided Color Guard and retirement rituals, while Girl Scout Troop 209 did a respect of flag performance.

“National Anthem” and “America the Beautiful” was sung by Hailey Brown and Rachel Thomas. Guest speaker was Red Skelton’s “Pledge of Allegiance.”

An invocation was provided by Pastor Ryan Sweet of Addisville Reformed Church.

Other special guests attending were Rep. Wendi Thomas and Northampton supervisor Kim Rose.
