Free day camp available to eligible youth in Bucks County

Families receiving TANF benefits whose children are between ages 12-16 can enjoy one week of day camp June 17-21 or June 24-27

Bucks County Community College is offering free summer camp opportunities to eligible youth receiving Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF) between the ages of 12 and 16 who reside in Bucks County.

These opportunities are funded by a grant from the Bucks County Workforce Development Board and the Bucks County Youth Council. The grant allows TANF-eligible youth to have the experience of attending a summer day camp in which they have fun while learning. It covers tuition, transportation, lunches and other rewards for successful participation.

Camps are available at the college’s Newtown Campus (275 Swamp Road) from June 17-21 and at the Upper Bucks Campus (One Hillendale Road, Perkasie) from June 24-27.

Space is limited. Contact Eunice Rush-Day at 215-258-7741 or Eunice.Rush-Day@bucks.edu for additional information and to enroll.
