Anti-Bullying Workshop: The Peace Center will host a free workshop to address the issues of workplace bullying in the historic Richardson House at 102 W. Maple Ave., Langhorne, at 7 p.m. The workshop is appropriate for employers and small business owners, as well as employees. The workshop is designed to help people in the workplace who either witness bullying or are targets themselves. Business owners will learn how to promote a positive workplace culture. Presenters will demonstrate the importance of sending a strong message that aggressive behavior will not be tolerated. Great Books Discussion Group: This Langhorne/Newtown/Yardley-based group meets in a private home on alternate Wednesdays. Upcoming discussions include: North Country by Roxanne Gay on May 29; and The Oresteia, Agamemnon by Aeschylus on June 5. Attendance is free, and light refreshments are served. Cat Adoption: Come meet the furry love of your life at the Cat Tales Adoption Center, at the Warrington Pavilion Shopping Center, 1111 Easton Road, Suite 17 (next door to Animal Lifeline Thrift Store), in Warrington. JUNE 1

Bucks County Genealogical Society Meeting: This event will take place from 10 a.m. to noon at the David Library of the American Revolution, 1201 River Road, Washington Crossing. Professional genealogist Dean Henry will present “African American Genealogy.” He’ll cover the common research “brick wall” challenging many African-American descendants of formerly enslaved ancestors, and ways to overcome it. Plant Swap: Southampton Free Library, at 947 Street Road, Southampton, is hosting a plant swap from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Participants can drop off plants beginning Thursday, May 30, and receive VIP tickets to gain early access from 10 to 11 a.m. on the day of the swap. Receive one ticket for each plant dropped off. During the regular hours of the swap, plants can still be brought in to swap out. All are welcome. Car Show: The sixth annual Philadelphia Federal Credit Union car show will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 12800 Townsend Road in Philadelphia. Entry fee is $20. Registrations will be taken until noon. All makes and models are welcome. There will be food vendors, a 50/50, raffle baskets, craft tables and family entertainment. The rain date is Sunday, June 9.

Magic: the Gathering: Comic Archive, 319 W. Main St. in Lansdale, hosts this event at 2 p.m. This classic family-friendly card game enhances strategic thinking and skills while teaching good sportsmanship. Admission is free. Andalusia Historic House Tours: Tour the Andalusia Mansion, 1237 State Road in Bensalem, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Mondays, except for major holidays. Enjoy a self-guided garden tour of Andalusia Mansion, a national historic landmark and home of Nicholas Biddle. See original furnishings, art and decorative arts and learn about the history of Andalusia. Reservations required. Space is limited. Cost is $20 per person. Code Club: The Margaret R. Grundy Memorial Library, 680 Radcliffe St. in Bristol, is hosting Code Club, a STEM educational series for children in grades 2 through 8. The club will meet from 5:30 to 7 p.m. weekly. Students in grades 2-4 will meet on Mondays, and grades 5-8 will meet on Tuesdays. Using Prenda software, children will learn how to code in Blocky, JavaScript, HTML/CSS and Python and to build websites, video games, apps and more. Registration is required. Participants are invited to bring their own laptop or Chromebook to each session. A limited number of library Chromebooks will be available to use. Connecting for a Cause: 3C of Connecting is bringing together nonprofits to work together to run a fundraiser as one unit. Connecting for a Cause takes place at the Trifecta Sporting Club, 4666 E. Bristol Pike, Feasterville, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. The room will be filled with more than 20 businesses and vendors sharing what they sell, in addition to raffle baskets. Toddler Time Program: This event will be held at Barn Nature Center, 1283 Almshouse Road in Doylestown, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Toddler Time programs are a parent and child experience that includes crafts, songs, music, books, activities and animals to help develop your child’s sense of adventure and imagination as well as appreciation for the world around them.
