The Trevose Horticultural Society will offer a “Kokedama Workshop” at its monthly meeting on Tuesday, June 18 at 7 p.m. at the Bensalem Senior Center, 1850 Byberry Road, Bensalem.
Learn how to make a Kokedama moss ball, complete with a small houseplant using a floral foam sphere as an alternative method. Blanche Gottel will provide step-by-step instructions on how to create this Japanese-inspired garden art.
Gottel left her corporate career in technology to become an entrepreneur and start her own business in interior plant care and maintenance. She has since grown her business, The Plant Lady of Bucks County LLC., to include interior plant scaping for a diverse client base, including many corporate and private clients.
These spherical novelties are great accent and conversational pieces for the home and make unique gifts, too. All materials are provided. Participants must bring a small, sharp knife, small spoon and small craft wire cutters.
Space is limited. Cost is $25 for workshop. Registration is required before May 30. Contact 856–866–9163.
