The Art of Marketing will be held May 21

The New Hope Art League is hosting The Art of Marketing: A Roundtable Discussion during its meeting on Tuesday, May 21 from 7 to 9 p.m. at St. Martin of Tours Church, School Classroom 104, 1 Riverside Circle, New Hope. Meetings are free and open to the public.
The discussion will cover all facets of marketing for artists. Topics addressed will range from defining your message/brand, social media and website presence, marketing and advertising, self promotion, press releases, attracting and marketing to collectors, etc.
Steph Sides will present all aspects of social media and PR marketing. Sides has more than 25 years of experience in a variety of communication roles including TV, journalism, radio, corporate communications and photography. She helps small-to-medium size businesses and nonprofits take advantage of social media in their marketing efforts through her business, Social Chicy.
Jane Ramsey will share ideas and strategy on marketing for artists. Over the past 35 years, Ramsey has been a freelance art director working with ad agencies and nonprofits on brand development, advertising, event planning and marketing.
Discussions will include how artists can fine tune their visual presence and begin to build a cohesive and consistent presentation for themselves and their artwork, and practical tips for a better understanding of printing, preparing images for publication and creating other marketing tools.
