Bensalem students compete at Greenfield Youth Film Festival

Members of Owls Television Network went up against 24 other schools and 300+ films

Students of Bensalem High School’s Owls Television Network recently competed against 24 other schools and more than 300 films at the Greenfield Youth Film Festival.

The music video I’m Okay, starring Sydney Gold, Dana Lynch and Maya Henriques, was nominated for best music video, best screenplay and best sound design.

Glimpse by Cierra Jakimowicz, Rex Zeka, Tara Bimbaum, Alyssa Groves, Taylor Haffner and Aidan Manna was nominated for best director and best screenplay.

The Ripple Effect by Emily Wineburg, Mackenzie Spear, Matt Brown, Matt Silano, Emily Gladu and Conor Miller was nominated for best narrative and best public service announcement.

The Unheard Lifestyle by Sophie Roberto, Amber Octaviano, Danica Sumbillo and Imani Simmons was nominated for best screenplay and best editing work, and took third place for best documentary, competing against 73 other documentaries.

Finally, each of the 24 schools submitted up to three one-minute group projects. OTN won first place for best group project in the short film starring Ethan Fan and Alexis Finazzo.
