David Brahinsky and Friends will perform folk music on April 28

Folk musician David Brahinsky and Friends will perform a concert from “The Stan Rogers Songbook” at St. Philip’s Episcopal Church, 10 Chapel Road, New Hope on Sunday, April 28 at 3 p.m.
Brahinsky is a singer, songwriter and guitarist who has been playing music from folk tradition, from the Child Ballads to Bob Dylan, for more than 30 years. One of the founders of the Roosevelt Arts Project, he has been the lead singer for “The Roosevelt String Band” for the last 25 years.
David Brahinsky and Friends features Brahinsky on vocals and guitar, Guy DeRosa on harmonica, Noemi Bolton on vocals, guitar and banjo/ukulele, Phil Mcauliffe on bass, and Doug Healy on mandolin, banjo and guitar.
The vision of the program is to create space where music can create a community, which is open to all regardless of income. The series will continue on May 12 with folk music group Simple Gifts and guitarist Peter Griggs on May 19. The concerts are open to all with a free will donation at the door for the musicians and the outreach of St. Philip’s Church.
