Bucks offers free healthcare training to unemployed residents

Information sessions about the healthcare certificate programs, offered in partnership with PA CareerLink, take place April 22, 23 and 26

The Times

Bucks County Community College, in partnership with PA CareerLink, is seeking unemployed or underemployed Bucks County residents to apply for a healthcare certificate program. Training is free for those who qualify.

PA CareerLink will determine if applicants qualify for free tuition. Programs offered include Dental Assisting, EKG Technician Hybrid, Nurse Aide Certification, Pharmacy Technician, and Physical Therapy Aide. In most cases, certificate programs can be completed in less than a year.

Free information sessions about these opportunities will be held at 12:30 p.m. on the following dates: Monday, April 22 in Founders Hall, room 009, at the Newtown Campus, 275 Swamp Road, Newtown; Tuesday, April 23 in South Building, room 257, at the Upper Bucks Campus, One Hillendale Road, Perkasie; and Friday, April 26 at PA CareerLink, 1260 Veterans Highway, Bristol.

Students must be at least 18 years old, have either a high school diploma or GED (with exception for Nurse Aide), and must be a U.S. citizen or possess a Green Card.
