View newly restored Bucks County deed books through May 31
The Times
Bristol Borough, founded in 1681, is one of the oldest municipalities in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and restored Bucks County deed books attest to that history.
The public is invited to see Bucks County deed books, newly restored by the Bucks County Recorder of Deeds office, on display at the Margaret R. Grundy Memorial Library, 680 Radcliffe St., Bristol, through May 31 during regular library hours. Highlights include Bristol Borough deeds dating from 1782 and 1822 that transferred ownership of iconic Bristol properties.
Stop by the Grundy Library on Thursday, May 16 at 6 p.m. when Robin Robinson, Bucks County Recorder of Deeds, presents Bucks County Historical Deeds, a discussion of the restoration process of the deed volumes. Robinson will also explain the free Bucks County Fraud Alert System that notifies residents to the possibility of fraudulent documents filed in her office.
