Follow the Webb and Gibbs families in the small, fictional town of Grover’s Corners on April 12–13
The Times
Pennsbury Drama is finishing its main stage season with Our Town. The Pulitzer Prize-winning play focuses on the small, fictional town of Grover’s Corners, where ordinary people lead extraordinary lives. This simple yet profound story of community, brought to life by Thorton Wilder’s singular voice, remains one of the most loved plays of all time.
The story follows the small town of Grover’s Corners through three acts: “Daily Life,” “Love and Marriage,” and “Death and Eternity.” Narrated by a stage manager and performed with minimal props and sets, audiences will follow the Webb and Gibbs families as their children fall in love, marry and eventually — in one of the most famous scenes in American theater — die.
Pennsbury High School will present Our Town on Friday, April 12 and Saturday, April 13 at 7:30 p.m. at the PHS West Campus, Orange Auditorium, 608 South Olds Blvd., Fairless Hills. Tickets may be purchased at the door one hour before each evening performance. Tickets are $10 and seating is general admission.
